The topic of this diploma thesis is cost analysis of heating sources in passive houses. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and focuses on basic concepts of passive house, renewable energy sources, heating sources, economical indicators. In the practical part there is cost analysis of chosen heatig sources of model house. Result of this thesis is evaluation of design options and optimal solution.

In the end of the thesis are heat source designs evaluated, compared and a heat source is selected. This heat source would be possible to buy, if is there some possible change for current existing heating source in future.

The second part is focused on the calculation of heat losses and heat demand of a particular family house. In the third part, various heat sources are designed and compared for this object. At the end of the work, these proposals are evaluated and a suitable source, which would be advantageous to replace the existing one, is selected.

Heating of family houses, due to its significant energy consumption, ranks among major sources of pollution worldwide and at the same time represents a considerable item in household budgets. This Batchelor thesis deals with the possibilities of saving energy in heating family houses and their economic viability. The thesis includes a list of options for reducing heat loss and subsequent comparison of basic types of heating. At the end there is a model calculation of individual variants and their economic comparison in terms of financial return.
